Father's Office Downtown

This was our third visit to Father’s Office Downtown and we’ll definitely be back again. The beef chilli nachos were tasty and generous, the turf and surf with prawn and steak was cooked perfectly, and the slow braised beef (winter special) was tender and full of flavour. We also had a cocktail and a mocktail, both delicious. The staff were amazing and easy to talk to, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Always a great experience here!

Stopped by here before seeing Beetlejuice the musical. Staff were excellent. We ordered the Chicken schnitzel specials. Came with a free schooner of beer for $25. Schnitzel was really big and cooked well. Chips and salad was also good. Overall great value, food and drinks.

Whilst visiting Melbourne we utilised Uber Eats and stumbled upon this restaurant. I am a fussy steak lover, and am not very adventurous when dining because Ive been disappointed more times than I like to remember. I also have only ever done 1 real food review before, but I *needed* to leave one after having their eye fillet (Surf n Turf.) At 49 years of age I can genuinely say I've never had such an amazing steak. It was seasoned perfectly, and so tender the bread and butter knives in our Air BnB (only knives available!) effortlessly melted through the eye fillet. My even fussier non red meat eating daughter (a burger is all she'll have in the red meat world) even tried some and was so won over - so much so that we've just placed another order for tonight's meal - our last night in Melbourne. We also had the truffle mash, baked Camembert (daughter!) and honey chorizo. Not a step wrong!!! Cannot recommend enough.

Staff are friendly and very helpful. I got the Three-course set menu and it was incredible! Arancini balls had so much flavour. Cinnamon calamari was surprisingly good. Lettuce had a nice light dressing on it! For the mains. The porter house steak was cooked exactly to my liking (medium rare), chips well seasoned and red wine had the perfect twang to it. The Milk Chocolate Ganache was so so delicious. Very more-ish. Even though it got quite busy, the food came out very quickly and we were in and out in less than an hour. 10/10 I recommend booking in advance too! To avoid disappointment.

Went to Father's Office Downtown for a light dinner and a few drinks. Location is in a popular area with a lot of foot traffic, great for people in the CBD or who have just kicked off work. Ordered wings, nachos and a Parma as well as drinks. Chilli nachos were quite spicy though it does warn you so that's on me! If you like spicy you will like it. Wings were nice, we ordered regular and teriyaki flavours. Parma was standard. Chips were nice and had a nice light seasoning on it with some herbs. Decent selection of beers and drinks, they have a happy hour too if you're there at the right time. Father's Office has a down stairs area you can go too, with some outside areas. Atmosphere feels quite nice and you can see the kitchen line as you sit up stairs. Napkin situation could be improved, for a whole table of majority finger food we had 2 napkins and had to go up a few times for more. Prices are mid for portions, not too expensive like other places in the area with the sam aesthetic. Nice place overall, would go back.
